Chai (translates literally to "tea") is a spicy blend tea with a black tea base. It can be taken straight, but it's traditionally steeped in a delicious base of milk and honey and strained for a luxurious treat. The milk can easily be substituted with goat's milk, almond milk (my favorite!), rice milk or soy milk. Chai is widely consumed in Africa and each region has its own favorite version.
This version is a deliciously lush and exotic new blend of spices, almonds and aged Ceylon black tea: AFRICAN CHAI! Like a traditional chai with the decadent addition of almonds and pink peppercorns.
